John McCarthy of Legacy Properties WIns MEIA 2012 Allied Member of the Year

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JOHN MCCARTHY OF LEGACY PROPERTIES- SOTHEBY INTERNATIONAL PROPERTIES AWARDED ALLIED MEMBER OF THE YEAR FOR 2012 BY MAINE INNKEEPERS ASSOCIATION Freeport Maine, November 23, 2012……John McCarthy of Legacy Properties- Sotheby International Realty was honored with the 2012 Allied Member of the Year Award by the Maine Innkeepers Association (MEIA) at their 91st annual meeting and conference, held November 5-6, 2012 at the Grand Summit Resort and Conference Center in Newry, Maine. This annual award is presented to an allied member of MEIA that is active in the hospitality industry and has made a significant contribution to it on behalf of the supplier community. McCarthy has a background in Maine hospitality as his family owned and operated Smuggler’s Cove Inn in East Boothbay Harbor. He began a career as a Realtor with Prudential Northeast, and currently works for Legacy Properties-Sotheby International Realty out of their Brunswick office. The inscription on the Allied Member of the Year Award reads: “A former Innkeeper, John understands the importance of Allied Members supporting the Association for its Lodging Members. John is always there for us providing sponsorships and attending and supporting our events. For this we are eternally grateful.” McCarthy was recipient of Prudential’s 2008 Leading Edge Society award which recognized his position as being one of the top 7% Sales Professionals in the Prudential network.
