For Immediate Release Press Contact information: Rauni Kew 207-602-8500 Greg Dugal Executive Director Maine Innkeepers Association (207) 865-6100 Maine Innkeepers Association Education Foundation Announces 2011 Scholarship Awards To Be Presented at Annual Tees & Textbooks Event Freeport ME – May 23 2011 – Ten Maine students will receive hospitality scholarships from The Maine Innkeepers Association Education Foundation affiliated with the Maine Innkeepers Association (MEIA) at the seventh annual Tees & Textbooks event June 20 and 21 2011 at the Marriott Sable Oaks in South Portland announced Greg Dugal Executive Director at MEIA. Scholarships will be presented after a 5:30 PM cocktail dinner reception on June 20th 2011. The 17th annual Maine Innkeepers Association Hospitality Golf classic will begin at 9:00AM at Sable Oaks Golf Course the next day. The scholarship program begun in 1984 was designed to inspire Maine students pursuing hospitality careers and has awarded over $138000 to 239 students. This includes hospitality schools in the State University System private Universities or Colleges and Maine Community College Systems. Non- hospitality awards may also be available to employees and their families or family members of innkeepers.
