The recognition was presented to Ostrowski by Peter Daigle of Lafayette Hotels at the MEIA awards dinner. According to MEIA this award annually recognizes an active Innkeeper who has significantly contributed to the development of the Maine Innkeepers Association. Ostrowski has run the two inns now Select Registry properties since 1998 when he purchased them with his wife and partner Cyndi. Originally from Georgia Ostrowski grew up in Albany New York and later moved to Wilmington Delaware with his wife and family where he spent 25 years in engineering and construction management of multimillion dollar public and commercial projects such as building the proto type of a nuclear sub. In 1996 he decided to join the hospitality industry and enrolled in the Restaurant School in Philadelphia PA. to study culinary arts and hotel management. Ostrowski is a past board Chair for Maine Innkeepers Association as well as for the Camden Bed and Breakfast Association served on the Camden Budget Committee and also spends time working with the Camden Rotary. Ostrowski is a graduate of both Hudson Valley Community College and Drexel University.
